Concerts never to forget

Saturday, the 17th of March 2007:
"The Fiddler’s Pub", Heemskerk

It was a tough gig in The Fiddlers Pub on Saint Patrick‘s Day, but we really had an unforgettable night there!

It's always special when there are genuine Irish people, that enjoy our performance. In this pub Gordon from Northern Ireland, started by telling us that although he was a protestant (hey, what's special about that?) he did like the Irish traditionals very much. He gave us some valuable tips such as to take it more easy when singing "Star of the County Down".

This time we broke quite a couple of records: the longest gig, the most Drowsy Maggy (we almost finished this song before we started), the best PR, the best pasta, the best technique (thanks to Bart), the most repeated songs (on request) and last but not least the best public!

We felt very flattered by the old man and his wife who sent away their taxi driver because they wanted to hear some more of us!

Thank you Heemskerk!

Monday, the 8th of January 2007:
The City Hall, Hazerswoude-Rijndijk

We received our most remarkeable response here: "Ik vond het kut! Helemaal niks!", which is dutch for "I really did’t like it!" Nevertheless we enjoyed it very much and it was a great honour to play for the vips of Rhinewood. Thank you Liesbeth!

Monday, the 29th of December 2006:
Hotel "Over de brug" for Joan Kelly’s friend, Haastrecht

Joan sang some beautiful songs by herself "like an Irish Linnet" ... and our hearts remained in Haastrecht!

Saturday, the 11th of November 2006:
The Knight’s Garden (De Ridderhof), Koudekerk aan den Rijn

We really had a terrific night! Please, let me tell you only two of my personal experiences: Grieshog made me wake up next morning with one of their beautiful tunes in my head. I couldn't stand that I didn't know the title, so I disturbed John Dulions' quiet Sunday Morning and he told me: "Only Our Rivers Run Free". The rest of the day I kept singing it. Blue Monday gave me true chicken skin when performing "The Town I Loved So Well". Thanks lads and lassies!

To those who were there: I would like to thank you all for your visit, your contribution and your flattering compliments. You gave us the inspiration to go for it even more. Unfortunately we've got to work for a living ...

To those who weren't there, like our poor Rudy: I suppose you know you really missed something, so together we wish you'll be there next time in good health. Hopefully Rudy will be better by the time you read this!

Hope to meet again soon!
